AHIMA names CEO

The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) said it has selected a new chief executive officer.

Lynne Thomas Gordon will take over as CEO on September 29 at the 61,000-member organization. Gordon joins AHIMA after serving as associate vice president for hospital operations and director of the Children's Hospital at Rush University Medical Center. She is also a member of the Rush University faculty in the graduate program in health systems management.
