Healthcare IT and advanced visualization developer Merge Healthcare said that Regional Medical Imaging (RMI) in Flint, MI, has become the company's first radiology client to achieve meaningful use (MU) under the U.S. government's healthcare IT stimulus program.
RMI successfully complied with the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' (CMS) federal ambulatory meaningful use regulations, and received stimulus incentives totaling $216,000, approximately one-third of the total incentives the center expects to receive under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, Merge said.
