Speech recognition and transcription technology developer M*Modal announced that Duke University Health System has selected the company's cloud-based Speech Understanding technology to support the rollout of its Epic electronic health record (EHR).
Speech Understanding will allow Duke physicians to capture patients' complete clinical stories and extract actionable information for Duke's Epic EHR. M*Modal's technology allows providers to use their voice, in addition to keyboard and mouse, to document care and navigate clinical applications, the company said.
