Imaging exchange network AG Mednet has launched software designed to reduce errors in imaging-related clinical trials.
The company's submission and quality compliance module includes automated quality assurance features to reduce human error in regulatory submissions. The application is geared toward clients in AG Mednet's network, including imaging core labs, clinical research organizations, imaging trial sponsors, and principal investigators.
AG Mednet said that preventable mistakes can delay clinical trials for up to seven weeks. Errors can range from technical oversights, such as inconsistent data entry and improper sequencing of medical image scans, to simple human error, such as missing signatures/authorization and illegible handwriting.
AG Mednet's module allows for quality control at the time of image retrieval, the company said, rather than when images arrive at core labs.
