Philips Healthcare will provide enterprise-wide clinical informatics software to Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF).
The faith-based, not-for-profit healthcare organization has partnered for years with Philips in imaging systems, patient monitoring, and PACS; it will now utilize Philips for cardiovascular and radiology informatics services to span its six hospitals and more than 18 outpatient locations, the vendor said.
Philips' Xcelera cardiovascular image and information management system will support all Baptist noninvasive and invasive labs, while the company's Xper Information Management with Flex Cardio package will provide enterprise-wide management of vital signs acquisition, measurement, and physician reporting. In addition, Philips' cardiovascular information system (CVIS) will serve as the single repository for patient cardiac and vascular information throughout the enterprise.
BHSF has also inked a multiyear service contract to complement the cardiovascular informatics purchase, and has elected to upgrade its existing EasyAccess Philips PACS with the company's IntelliSpace PACS offering.
