Philips Healthcare has announced the release of version 11 of its IntelliSpace Event Management software, an alert notification system for healthcare providers.
Compared to the prior release, the new software version enhances the delivery of alerts that are customized for specific job roles and care units, Philips said. Care providers can now make personal assignments directly from their mobile devices to prevent delays in the receipt of alerts. Recipients can create a command to have results forwarded to another person when they are unavailable. If alerts are canceled before a recipient has acknowledged them, the order will be canceled.
The software integrates with more than 200 input and output devices, according to the firm. It has successfully completed testing as an "alarm manager" under the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) Alarm Communication Management (ACM) profile.
