Healthcare management services firm Canopy Partners announced that Randolph Hospital in Asheboro, NC, will use its regional database of archived radiology images.
The database, called the Canopy Regional Imaging Timeline, currently acquires more than 600,000 imaging studies on an annual basis. The service enables physicians at participating facilities to log into a single system to access their patients' images and reports.
The database repository is built on an open, standards-based medical imaging and information management platform (IntelliSpace, Philips Healthcare). It is supported by a staff of more than 24 software developers, system administrators, and help desk personnel, according to the company.
Current customers include regional hospitals, imaging centers, and primary, specialty, and multispecialty physician practices.
