The U.S. Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) is sponsoring a contest for the best amateur videos promoting the value of instant "blue button" access, or being able to download and share electronic health records.
The ONC's challenge requests submission of videos up to two minutes in length that promote the concept of the "blue button," a symbol for easy electronic access to health information. ONC hopes that the winning videos, to be posted on its website, will spread "blue button fever across the nation."
Individuals, healthcare providers, and vendors who wish to promote imaging informatics have until November 13 to participate. Cash prizes are being awarded. Click here for contest details.
