The U.S. Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) is recruiting new members to participate in its health IT policy and standards committees.
ONC has developed an online database for interested individuals to submit applications for workgroup member positions.
The health IT policy committee makes recommendations to the director of the ONC on policy framework for developing and adopting a nationwide health information infrastructure, including standards for the exchange of patient medical information. The health IT standards committee makes recommendations on standards, implementation specifications, and certification criteria.
