Imaging informatics firm Viztek said that its Opal-EHR software has received certification as a complete ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) by a U.S. Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB).
The meaningful use certification allows purchasers to qualify for federal incentive payments as high as $44,000 per radiologist at qualifying practices implementing electronic medical record systems, according to Viztek.
Viztek said that Opal-EHR is currently available for imaging centers and podiatry clinics, with versions coming soon for urgent care, general practice, cardiology, and orthopedics practices.
