Software developer Laurel Bridge Software has released version 2.1.30 of Compass, its DICOM store-and-forward routing application for DICOM store jobs.
The new software version includes support for anonymization through deidentification and reidentification of patient information in accordance with DICOM attribute confidentiality profiles, formerly known as supplement 142. Image/pixel overlay functions allow for blacking out of patient information that has been burned into an image.
Other new features include automated import and processing of DICOM exams via file-system "hot folders," expanded capabilities for image viewing and routing, and customizable actions for "job start," "job sent," and "job failed" events.
