Advanced Data Systems (ADS) is introducing MedicsConnect, a new option for its MedicRIS that makes dictated radiologist reports immediately available for uploading to the referring physician's electronic health record (EHR), at this week's 2012 RSNA meeting in Chicago.
MedicConnect helps imaging services avoid implementing dozens of customized HL7 interfaces typically need to transmit reports to referring physician RIS. It can reduce report turnaround times and serve as a marketing tool to attract imaging referrals, according to the company.
ADS will also showcase MedicsDocAssistant EHR, and announced that radiologists using it now qualify for Stage 1 Stimulus Act financial incentives for meaningful use compliance.
