Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) is touting new features and activities scheduled to take place at its North American Connectathon and Conference, set for January 28 through February 2 in Chicago.
The Connectathon is the largest event in the U.S. for the interoperability testing of healthcare IT software, attracting 100 vendors, 500 engineers, and 160 test systems, according to IHE. Meanwhile, the Connectathon Conference, set for January 30, offers educational sessions.
IHE said that three new features have been added to this year's Connectathon lineup:
- Testing of HL7's consolidated clinical document architecture (CDA), a document markup standard that specifies the structure and semantics of "clinical documents" for the purpose of exchange
- A new pilot IHE certification program, being offered in partnership with ICSA Labs
- The first mHealth Hackathon
