GE Healthcare is developing two new applications for its Caradigm Intelligence platform that are designed to offer near real-time visibility into emergency room operations and bed management processes.
The Guided Analytics application combines data visualization with domain expertise to help healthcare organizations analyze and manage emergency department visits, GE said. AutoBed is an operations decision-support application that helps institutions better manage inpatient bed assignments.
GE will demonstrate prototypes of these new applications in the Caradigm booth this week at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) annual meeting in New Orleans. Commercial availability for these applications will be announced at a later date, the firm said.
Caradigm is a joint venture formed by GE Healthcare and Microsoft in June 2012.
