Speech recognition technology developer M*Modal has inked an expanded contract with Erlanger Health System of Chattanooga for its M*Modal Fluency Flex package.
M*Modal Fluency Flex is a document creation module within the company's Fluency for Transcription cloud-based speech understanding platform. It allows physicians to use real-time, front-end speech recognition to either self-edit documents or send them to transcription for review and editing, according to M*Modal.
Erlanger is a nonprofit healthcare system with five medical campuses and more than 1,000 beds. It treats more than a quarter-million patients every year in southeast Tennessee, north Georgia, north Alabama, and western North Carolina. M*Modal has provided Erlanger with transcription services for more than 10 years, the company said.
