Healthcare IT industry experts will congregate at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) AsiaPac13 Greater China eHealth Forum this summer to discuss strategies, challenges, and outcomes of IT adoption in the healthcare industry.
Delegates will experience emerging technologies and engage in discussions about enhancing patient care and safety using IT on August 1 and 2 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
The Clinician IT Symposium will focus on the effects of IT on delivery improvement, safety, and quality assurance in various healthcare establishments, the Asia-Pacific arm of HIMSS said. Attendees will hear from leaders in the medical field and senior executives from global research organizations who will share their expertise and success in implementing IT in healthcare.
More than 20 speakers from 13 countries and regions will give presentations on topics including HIT X.0, mobile health, standards and interoperability, and care in the community. The conference will feature two forums running in parallel -- the Greater China Forum and the International Forum -- with talks from leading healthcare experts including Dr. Wun Chung Por, president of the e-Health Consortium of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, and Dr. Ko Wing-Man, secretary for Food and Health at the Hong Kong Food and Health Bureau.
