Healthcare information systems firm McKesson has won a contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona for its health management system, the company said.
McKesson will provide workflow, decision support, and analytics tools to help Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona identify healthcare needs and improve coordination across care teams, with the goal of continuing to improve its members' health, according to the firm.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona will use McKesson's Vital platform, a disease and utilization management software; InterQual Criteria, which offers decision support for medical reviews; and Risk Manager, which provides quality analysis metrics, McKesson said.
