Medical graphics computing technology firm Kjaya Medical will demonstrate its VoXcell medical imaging cloud platform and iShareScan.com at the RSNA 2013 Image Sharing Demonstration in Chicago.
The company will show both its iShareScan.com health image exchange (HIE) and new Patient Healthcare Portal (PHR) systems.
iShareScan.com allows for retrieval and viewing of images, reports, dose reports, and other imaging-related data using any Web-enabled computer or mobile device. The iShareScan functions as an IHE cross-enterprise document sharing (XDS) system, but users can also view and share it over the Web as desired with any authorized user. It's also a zero-footprint remote viewer that allows for 2D, 3D, or 4D images.
The new PHR enables patients to log on to the Kjaya cloud using an Internet browser to view their images and grant permissions for their physicians to do so.
At the RSNA demonstration, Kjaya and other vendors will simulate a range of clinical scenarios, such as exchanging images and reports between care sites, sharing them with patients through portals, and exporting image data for education and research.
This marks the second year the company has been selected to participate in RSNA demonstration, Kjaya said.
