GE Healthcare has inked a deal to acquire healthcare workforce management software and analytics firm API Healthcare.
GE said the purchase fits with its Industrial Internet strategy to invest in businesses that enhance its portfolio in software, data, and analytics. API's products include staffing and scheduling, patient classification, human resources, talent management, time and attendance, business analytics, and staffing agency offerings.
Upon closure of the acquisition, API's offerings will be part of GE's Predictivity Industrial Internet portfolio alongside the firm's existing Hospital Operations Management (HOM) services.
The deal is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the first quarter. The companies did not disclose financial terms.
