Agfa HealthCare is using this week's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting to showcase its partnership with Dell.
The companies are collaborating on the integration of Agfa's Imaging Clinical Information System (ICIS) platform with Dell's Drive Plus for medical imaging management within the electronic health record (EHR). The collaboration is part of the companies' focus on streamlining customer workflow by offering easily integrated enhancements for EHRs, including easy access to medical images within the patient health record, Agfa said.
Drive Plus integrates the newest healthcare technologies and optimizes them on Dell open-source platforms to make deploying the EHR easier and more cost-effective, the companies said in a statement. This focus helps customers expand their digital healthcare infrastructure to include more applications, while eliminating the challenges of deploying them together.
The partnership will enable hospitals and health systems to achieve significant clinical workflow and patient care benefits, along with operational and cost efficiencies associated with having all patient documents integrated and accessible from a single, cloud-based EHR, Agfa said.
