The Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA) has named Thad Flood as industry director.
Prior to joining MITA, Flood served as a project officer with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), where he oversaw state health information exchange grants and encouraged adoption of meaningful use standards among eligible healthcare providers, MITA said.
Flood has a background and interest in healthcare policy and regulatory affairs, according to MITA. He is replacing Richard Eaton, who is retiring after more than two decades with the organization.
