Image management firm Digisonics has installed its cardiovascular information system (CVIS) at a site in Florida.
Digisonics placed its system at Moffitt Cancer Center, a nonprofit institution in Tampa, FL. The system will provide Moffitt Cancer Center's clinicians with a clinical database, PACS, and structured reporting. In addition, Digisonics' Web-based application will provide the facility's clinicians with anywhere, anytime access to their patient images and reports.
Also, the CVIS will be enhanced with the Digisonics Search Package, a user-configurable search engine. Digisonics Search Package allows users to set up search criteria to extract clinical information from their cardiovascular information system database for research purposes, the company said. It can also be used to compile statistics required for accreditation and to generate management reports to target areas for improvement.
