Network technology provider Ciena has inked a deal to deliver a private enterprise network for Nebraska Medicine.
The new network, which will feature Ciena's packet networking and converged packet optical technology, will connect five geographically dispersed facilities and enable the use of bandwidth-intensive applications, according to the firm.
It will help support digital breast tomosynthesis technology at Nebraska Medicine, as well as provide improved services in cardiology, radiology, and other areas of medicine that utilize digital imaging, Ciena said.
