Image management firm Purview has introduced Vita, a Web-based platform designed to facilitate sharing of patient medical records for second opinions.
Developed in collaboration with health advisory services provider PinnacleCare, Vita offers a HIPAA-compliant and secure means of sharing complete patient medical records with healthcare facilities around the world, according to Purview.
With Vita, PinnacleCare can aggregate medical images, patient medical history, and associated physician notes from multiple providers into one universal medical record, Purview said. This record can then be shared with other healthcare providers to support physician collaboration for diagnosis and treatment recommendations, according to the company.
