Radiology informatics firm MedQ has introduced version 6.0 of its Q/ris 3000 enterprise software.
In addition to being certified for use with stage 2 of the U.S. government's meaningful use program, version 6.0 of Q/ris 3000 is now compliant with the ICD-10 diagnosis coding system, according to MedQ. Other new features include a completely paperless workflow, as well as enhancements to its intelligent scheduling module, such as wait listing, dynamic exam time setting on the calendar, and other productivity features, the company said.
MedQ said it has also improved macro creation for radiologists and incorporated split screens to view prior reports while dictating the current study. Data can also be directly moved to the dictation macro thanks to enhanced DICOM Structured Reporting tools, according to the firm.
In addition, MedQ has added a new patient portal that allows patients to view images and also view and download final reports. Referring physicians can now upload documents needed for ordering imaging procedures from their office locations, MedQ said.
Another new feature, Q/ris connect, is an HL7 engine that allows users to directly connect to their referring physician's electronic health record or electronic medical record via HL7, the company said.
