Imaging analytics start-up HealthMyne has added the ability to integrate data from electronic health record (EHR) firm Epic with its quantitative image analysis platform.
HealthMyne worked with Epic and the University of Wisconsin on the integration, which offers radiologists a unification of EHR data and imaging information in its care timeline feature. This enables providers to move to an evidence-based population health model where individual patients can be assessed and treated with the beneficial insight of similar patient cohorts, the firm said.
HealthMyne provides an oncology-centric unified view of health data that brings together automated quantitative imaging data, along with valuable health record information such as past chemotherapy, treatment procedures, lab results, medications, smoking history, and clinical trial involvement, the firm added. Automated comparison to similar cohorts will allow image-based response stratification not previously possible in real-time.
