Advanced visualization firm Vital Images has launched an application-neutral architecture platform that allows users to easily work between existing healthcare informatics applications.
The platform was designed to address the problem of accessing both structured and unstructured datasets. It helps users to communicate between enterprise content management (ECM), vendor-neutral archive (VNA), and PACS networks, along with electronic medical record and health information exchange (HIE) systems, the company said.
Vital Images will showcase the new platform at the upcoming Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting in Portland, OR.
