Healthcare information systems firm McKesson Health Solutions has launched Intelligence Hub, a software platform targeted at facilitating interoperability between its own and third-party healthcare applications.
Based on open standards such as HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), Intelligence Hub is designed to connect the company's portfolio of automated reimbursement software applications and help streamline payments, according to the vendor. Intelligence Hub also works with customers' existing systems as well as third-party software, McKesson said.
The platform employs McKesson's cloud services technology and provides application programming interface (API) management, identity and access management, and application service orchestration within a platform-as-a-service engineered around an enterprise service bus. Intelligence Hub will also be capable of providing real-time analytics, according to the company.
