CHICAGO - RSNA 2016 is underway, and we're pleased to be bringing you all the news from radiology's showcase conference in Chicago.

First up is our coverage of the keynote session, given by Dr. Robert Wachter, chair of the department of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Wachter spoke about the digitization of healthcare and the lessons that radiology can provide, given that it was one of the earliest medical disciplines to go digital.

In other news from RSNA 2016, researchers from Pennsylvania gave a talk today on a method that automatically triggers an email to a radiologist when a pathology report is finalized. The group found that radiologists appreciated not having to manually follow up on these cases. Get the details by clicking here.
