McKesson and partner Change Healthcare Holdings have announced they will name their planned new combined healthcare IT firm Change Healthcare.
When launched, Change Healthcare will bring together the majority of McKesson's IT operations -- including PACS -- and nearly the entirety of Change Healthcare Holdings, the revenue cycle management firm formerly known as Emdeon. McKesson announced in June 2016 that it would be spinning off most of its IT operations into a separate company.
The combined company will formally present its new logo, brand positioning, and visual identity when the transaction closes. The deal still remains subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2017. A migration process will occur over the following 12 months, according to the firms.
