RIS/PACS vendor Novarad is introducing its Ncompass enterprise imaging offering at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference this week in Orlando, FL.
The enterprise imaging platform includes the Ncompass vendor-neutral archive (VNA), the Ncompass universal viewer, clinical workflow modules, and a universal worklist, as well as reporting, routing, and migration services, according to the vendor. Novarad said the Ncompass viewer creates a complete patient record by transitioning the storage of images and patient information from disparate archives, remote locations, and storage devices to a VNA.
The VNA is indexed by patient, a feature that improves workflow and access to patient images, visible light photos, and videos across the full continuum of care, Novarad said. Available on any device via a web browser, the Ncompass universal viewer is a zero-footprint software application that can image-enable electronic medical records, according to the company.
Novarad is also highlighting Patient Storyboard, a software tool that can display any type of clinical multimedia content. Providers can use Patient Storyboard at the point of care to display patient information from all departments on a single screen, the company said.
