Carestream Health plans to show its advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and imaging analytics software at next month's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) annual meeting in Las Vegas.
Carestream uses third-party algorithmic results to enhance the quality and speed of diagnosis and reporting of radiologic scans for osteoporosis, lung emphysema, coronary calcification, and fatty liver.
The company's Radiology Assistant uses the coronary calcium scoring algorithm to provide detailed findings of diagnostic images. Radiology Assistant is pending 510(k) clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
In addition, Carestream's Workflow Orchestrator is designed to direct a study to the most appropriate radiologist for each case based on his or her subspecialty, location, and medical affiliation.
