RIS/PACS vendor Novarad has launched two new mobile image management apps, one for imaging report review and another for HIPAA-compliant image capture from iOS devices.
AlertView notifies referring physicians, radiologists, or cardiologists via text message that reports and findings are ready for review. It features secure login with TouchID, a patient list for quick searches, filtering by modality and time, and a display of all key images in the study, according to the firm.
SnapView allows physicians to use their own iOS devices to capture images without leaving behind any personal health information, the company said. It features Novarad's Ncompass Enterprise Imaging technology, which routes image files past the device's memory and transfers them directly to its Ncompass Universal Archive.
Novarad plans to highlight AlertView and SnapView at the upcoming Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting in Las Vegas.
