Cloud-based software developer Ambra Health has entered the Japanese market via a distribution agreement with Japanese distributor MC Healthcare.
Ambra's cloud medical imaging platform will be the first digital health offering by MC Healthcare in Japan, according to Ambra. The company said the Ambra platform has been localized for the Japanese market by becoming compliant with the country's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) law. It will be run from a data center in Tokyo and has a Japanese language user interface. The platform is now available in eight different languages: English, Japanese, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Chinese, and Arabic, Ambra said.
Sagara Women's Healthcare Group in Kagoshima is one of the first in Japan to deploy Ambra's image exchange services. The hospital is using the platform to support its mobile mammography services, Ambra said.
