Healthcare software firm IDS has integrated its AbbaDox RIS with Uber Health's nonemergency patient transportation services to improve patient compliance and care coordination.
The integration of Uber Health into the AbbaDox RIS is designed to allow imaging centers a secure connection during patient transportation so that patients can easily get to and from appointments, reducing no shows and late appointments.
"Access to transportation is an enormous barrier to care in the healthcare space, especially among vulnerable groups," said Dan Trigub, head of Uber Health, in a statement. "Our integration with IDS will help make the process of coordinating rides more seamless and efficient, so patients can get to and from appointments with ease, while helping diagnostic clinics reduce the rate of no shows and streamline operations."
