The RAD Women (RADxx) networking group for women in imaging informatics announced the winners of the third annual RADxx Awards at a reception during RSNA 2019 in Chicago.
RADxx awarded trailblazer, advocate, champion, and rising star awards. The awards recognize the achievements of women in the field of medical imaging informatics, as well as anyone -- both men and women -- who have supported the career advancement of women in medical imaging informatics.
Winners were selected by the RADxx executive committee from eligible submissions and are listed below:
- RADxx Trailblazer: Charlene Tomaselli, director of medical imaging information technology at Johns Hopkins Medicine
- RADxx Advocate: Anant Madabhushi, PD, director of the Center for Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics and a professor in the department of biomedical engineering at Case Western Reserve University
- RADxx Champion: Dr. Agnieszka Solberg, vascular and interventional radiologist and a professor at the University of North Dakota
- Rising Star: Michelle Bardis, former electrical engineer at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and currently a medical student at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine
