San Francisco startup Sirona Medical is showcasing its cloud-based radiology operating system (RadOS) at the RSNA 2021 meeting.
The RadOS integrates worklist, viewer, reporter, and artificial intelligence (AI) software into one platform to simplify workflow and ease of use. Sirona sees the lack of integration of software components as a barrier to the use of AI in clinical practice. The RadOS workspace is designed with ergonomics in mind and offers machine-learning tools that improve radiology efficiency while reducing burnout, according to Sirona. The workspace is offered on a subscription basis and is updated regularly.
Founded in 2018, the company has raised $60 million. Stanford University biomedical informatics specialist and venture capitalist Cameron Andrews is the company's CEO. Dr. Alan Kaye, former president of the American College of Radiology, is chief medical officer.
