German PACS vendor RADIN has unveiled a new version of its PACS software. The new release is now able to support diagnostic reading as well as its traditional image viewing and transfer applications, according to the Fuerth-based subsidiary of SoHard.
RADIN has also added new capabilities such as RADIN.Scan, allowing for digitizing of existing x-ray images. Another new feature, RADIN.Wireless, provides for wireless viewing of medical images on a handheld PC, while RADIN.Video digitizes analog video sources. RADIN.Transfer can transfer images from a modality or workstation directly to a remote RADIN server via telephone lines, according to the firm.
