Canadian PACS and applications developer Cedara Software has included 3-D volume rendering capability in the release of its I-SoftView PACS workstation software. The technology, which Cedara calls point-and-click classification, enables automated separation of tissues with minimal user interaction, according to the Mississauga, Ontario-based firm. Predefined protocols are applied after a single mouse click, Cedara said.
In other I-SoftView enhancements, the company has incorporated a single-media archiving feature, which allows facilities to store patient data on a magnetic optical disk (MOD) or CD media, according to the vendor.
