Siemens Medical Solutions has installed its first integrated RIS/PACS network. Bethesda Healthcare System in Boynton Beach, FL, has implemented the system, which combines the Iselin, NJ-based vendor's Novius RIS version 26 and its Sienet PACS offering.
Bethesda has placed the broker-free RIS/PACS in its emergency department, intensive care unit, neonatal ICU, radiation oncology, women's health, and imaging services units. The integrated RIS/PACS is the first joint product from Siemens Medical Solutions and Siemens Medical Solutions Health Services (formerly Shared Medical Systems).
