Israeli PACS provider Algotec has been selected by Delta Diagnostics to provide telemedicine and remote communications linking Delta locations. The Slidell, LA-based Delta, a radiology sub-specialty practice, provides onsite reading services to seven hospitals and clinics in the New Orleans area.
Algotec has installed its MediSurf Web-based image-access engine at the facilities. Studies are stored on a server at the main Delta clinic in Slidell, and images are sent over existing DSL and cable broadband lines to the institutions served by the practice.
