StorComm has introduced version 4.2 of its ImageAccess clinical image management system. The new version includes a client/server-based product offering as well as features that improve workflow and provide easier access to patient information, according to the Jacksonville, FL-based firm.
ImageAccess 4.2 also has AccessServer Express, designed for low-volume imaging facilities that need the capability to distribute images and patient information, but do not need long-term archiving or server-based printing. The product stores a maximum of 1,000 exams and is scalable within the ImageAccess system, according to the company.
The product also features automatic exam forwarding to user-defined destinations and an upgraded retrieval function for exams stored offline. Other enhancements include easier manipulation of images, an annotation stamp tool, and a blending option for stitched images.
