Xiotech debuts storage-area network application

An enterprise storage architecture product for storage-area networks (SANs) in the healthcare market has been released by Eden Prairie, MN-based Xiotech. The company, a subsidiary of hard-disk manufacturer Seagate Technologies, developed its SANbuilder for Healthcare Applications for use in PACS SANs. The product has been certified for use as storage with PACS systems from ALI Technologies, Eclipsys, and Epic Systems, Xiotech said.
