Research Systems releases application-development tool

Boulder, CO-based software developer Research Systems (RSI) has released its Watsyn medical imaging application development product. The software is an integrated implementation platform that permits developers to drag-and-drop pre-written modules to create an application.

The modules support a variety of modality types and are designed for most medical specialties, including PACS, nuclear medicine, PET, radiation oncology, and surgical planning. In addition, an extendable framework allows developers to modify modules or add their own custom modules or ActiveX controls.

RSI, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rochester, NY-based Eastman Kodak, is working with other medical vendors to allow integration of Watsyn software applications with their products, according to the company.
