German PACS vendor Vepro is planning a sales and marketing initiative in the U.S., including the introduction of new products and services designed for the American market. The Pfungstadt-based firm will be providing U.S. customers with a free Web server with every PACS network, a remote backup server, and a robotic CD/DVD burner.
In addition, Vepro has introduced software enhancements such as performance-monitoring tools, internal diagnostics, and automatic correction capability. The vendor also has incorporated new security tools, such as fingerprint recognition, logging and password functionality, and multiple local and off-site data backups.
