Siemens Medical Solutions has formed a partnership with secure-messaging provider Sigaba to bring the San Mateo, CA-based firm's secure e-mail and statement-presentation technology to the healthcare market. Sigaba's secure e-mail service will allow any type of document, including radiology reports, to be delivered to any recipient via encrypted e-mail without the need for additional software, according to the firms.
Users can access secure messages from a desktop, and e-mails can be sent via any valid e-mail address, according to Siemens of Malvern, PA, and Sigaba. Access can be restricted according to policies set by the organization, the vendors said. Siemens will offer Sigaba's technology through its e.Health services portfolio.
