Cardiac image management provider CardioNow has released WebSend, a software application that allows users to electronically share complete cardiac studies with remote sites.
WebSend complements the Encinitas, CA-based vendor's Web-based DICOM image and information management service, and can securely share complete cardiac cath, echocardiography, and intravascular ultrasound DICOM studies over the Internet from any standard PC, according to the firm.
With WebSend, studies are transferred in their native DICOM format without compression or resolution loss, according to CardioNow. Recipients can then open and view studies in their original DICOM format from any CardioNow review station.
