PACS and 3-D software developer ScImage has debuted a dual fly-through virtual colonoscopy software module. The package supports simultaneous volumetric and endoscopic exploration of prone and supine acquisitions on the same screen, according to the Los Altos, CA-based vendor.
The module doesn't require graphics hardware, a dedicated 3-D modeling system, or pre-processing, ScImage said. Physicians can begin reading a case in just under eight minutes after acquisition, according to the firm.
