Information system developer Source Medical Systems of Birmingham, AL, has released a Web-based product for distribution of diagnostic imaging and reports to referring physicians with or without a PACS in place. The application, ReadyView, is being targeted for the diagnostic imaging center market. It allows radiologists to combine images, reports, and physician- and patient-education material for delivery to a referring physician.
The product is provided at no cost to the referring physician, is installed on their desktop, and automatically notifies them when a report is ready via a blinking icon, according to the firm.
