Agfa signs multimillion-dollar contract with Sentara Healthcare

Sentara Healthcare will install Agfa’s enterprise-wide PACS and information system over a one-year period in five Sentara hospitals in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia at a cost of several million dollars.

Agfa of Greenville, SC, will install its Impax Web1000 server to enable Sentara to have universal image viewing throughout its five-hospital network, as well as consolidation of its patient image repository.

Sentara Healthcare comprises more than 70 sites in Virginia and North Carolina. Neither party gave a figure for the value of the total contract.
